Madison West Side homes in the $225-$249 range is another large group of homes with wide distribution across Madison's West Side. These homes have some comm0n characteristics in that their average size is about 1,500 finished square feet excluding garage. Homes that have finished space in their lower levels average about 500 square feet more. These homes tend to fall into two major age groups: under 15 years old and between 40 and 70 years old. About 8% of the inventory is new construction and these homes can be found in neighborhoods like Linden Park, Waterford Glen and Cardinal Glen.

Naturally the homes in the under 15 years old group are going to have more contemporary finishes and will be in the newer subdivisions.
